What is the first volume of The Haunted Archive and when will it be released?

The first volume of The Haunted Archive will be ‘Oh, Whistle, and I’ll Come to You, My Lad’, arguably M.R. James’s most famous ghost story. We are running a Kickstarter campaign very soon through which you can secure your limited edition hardback.

How many volumes are planned?

We are delighted to have the support of archives including the King’s School Canterbury, King’s College Cambridge, Eton College and others to make available the M.R. James manuscripts in their possession. Our next volume will be ‘The Mezzotint’.

What about manuscripts by authors other than M.R. James?

While we have started with M.R. James, we are keen to work with archives, literary estates and individuals who own manuscripts and are interested in sharing them with the wider world.

What am I committing to buy on Kickstarter?

The Kickstarter campaign is for the first volume only. There is no ongoing committment to purchase any other volumes in the series (although we hope you will). We also have two additional items that can be purchased at the same time as the book. See the Kickstarter page for more details.
